Résume | Abstract : One of the questions in the modular representation theory of finite groups is the extent to which the representation theoretic possibilities of a block of a finite group are bounded by its local structure. In this talk, I will focus on a particular invariant of the module category, namely Hochschild cohomology. I will present some finiteness results for Hochschild cohomology which may be seen as higher-dimensional analogues of a classical result of Brauer and Feit. This is joint work with Markus Linckelmann. |
