| Résume | Recent results about sums of squares in connection with projective algebraic geometry have relied on the convex geometry of spectrahedra to cover the divide between the two subjects. I want to explain some of these recent results and try to make this bridge by convexity concrete. This is based on joint work with Greg Blekherman, Greg Smith, and Mauricio Velasco. |
