Root numbers and non-commutative Iwasawa theory

Résumé :
We shall report on some recent on-going joint work with
J. Coates, T. Fukaya and K. Kato. The main results revolve around the
role played by root numbers of certain self-dual Artin representations
associated to certain non-commutative $p$-adic Lie extensions. It was inspired
by work of T.Dokchitser and V. Dokchitser, and M. Shuter. It is related to
recent joint work of H. Darmon and Y. Tian, and also to work of D. Rohrlich.
