Résume | We first discuss a couple of standard results on generic
representations of p-adic groups that were previously only available in
characteristic zero, and also a (non-)unitarity criterion for unramified
principal series representations of split classical groups that is new
over a non-archimedean local field, as part of recent work in
collaboration with del Castillo and Henniart. During the second part of
the talk, we obtain applications to globally generic cuspidal
automorphic representations and their L-functions. For the classical
groups over function fields, we discuss holomorphy in the region Re(s)>1, Langlands functoriality and isobaric sums. |
