Motivated by the study of automorphisms of reduced products, we
investigate the saturation properties of these massive quotients. Notably,
we show that a reduced product of countable structures is
$2^{aleph_0}$-satured if and only if it is stable. We then discuss when and
whether one can give a neat characterisation of all automorphisms of
certain well-behaved unstable reduced products. This talk is based on joint
work with De Bondt and Farah.
