 In this talk, we will discuss an extension of odd Khovanov homology to tangles. This construction is closely related in spirit to the approach introduced by Bar-Natan for even Khovanov homology. We will first review Bar-Natan's construction for even Khovanov homology and then describe a modification of this framework that produces the odd Khovanov invariant. If time permits, we will also briefly discuss the functorial properties of this construction.
