| Résume | The Langlands program concerns automorphic representations of linear groups. It is of considerable interest to bring nonlinear groups into the program. The oscillator representation of the metaplectic group is an important example. One aspect of the program is character theory. In this talk (reporting on joint work with Rebecca Herb) I'll discuss a ``lifting theory'' for characters of nonlinear real groups. |
