Motivated by their appearance in the completions of certain locally algebraic representations appearing in the $p$-adic Langlands program, I will by elementary means introduce and explain, for a real number $r\geq 0$, the notion of an $r$-times differentiable function over a non-Archimedean manifold and state their basic properties.
