Résume | We first recall the essentially tame local Langlands correspondence of $GL_n$ constructed by Bushnell and Henniart. Their results describe the difference of the local construction and the functorial induction of supercuspidal representations by certain characters, called rectifiers, of elliptic tori. We relate their results to endoscopic transfer relations of Kottwitz, Langlands and Shelstad by comparing twisted characters of representations. Therefore we can relate rectifiers to certain transfer factors, and hence we can interpret the essentially tame correspondence using admissible embeddings of $L$-groups. |
