Let $G$ be a $p$-adic split reductive group and $X$ its adic flag variety. We explain how the category of locally analytic $G$-representations (with trivial infinitesimal character) embeds into a category of equivariant arithmetic $D$-modules on $X$. As an application we show, in the case of $\mathrm
GL
(2)$, that representations coming from equivariant bundles on Drinfeld's first étale covering of the $p$-adic upper half plane are admissible.
