RésumeThe Diederich-Fornaess index is a numerical index on the strength of certain pseudoconvexity of complex domains. The index is always one for strictly pseudoconvex domains; on the other hand, it was found recently that the index is restricted to certain smaller value for weakly pseudoconvex domains. We would like to review various interpretations of this global estimate of the index for Levi-flat bounded domains and discuss its relation to the conjecture on Levi-flat real hypersurfaces in the complex projective plane. The talk is based on arXiv:1403.3179, 1410.2695 and 1410.2789 including a joint work with J. Brinkschulte.
