| Résume | I will review a number of recent results on the structure of Hilbert space operators: asymptotics of powers, dilations, diagonals, etc. Their common point is a new approach based on the properties of numerical ranges
for operator tuples. Among motivations are problems stemming from harmonic analysis, ergodic theory, and the study of invariant subspaces.
This is joint (and still ongoing) work with V. Muller.
