On non-split dihedral representations arising from elliptic curves.

This talk will discuss relations between the surjectivity of mod prepresentations attached to elliptic curves over Q and congruenceprimes. In particular, we will discuss the case of mod prepresentations with projective image a dihedral group of orderdividing 2(p+1) where there are connections to congruences witheigenforms attached to grossencharacters on imaginary quadraticfields.
