Using Hecke's hyperbolic Fourier expansion, wedefine "values" of elliptic modular j-function at realquadratic numbers. We present some observations on thesevalues based on numerical experiments. These experimentssuggest a relation between the values and the Diophantineapproximations of the argument quadratic irrationalities.
