RésumeThe idea behind the Drinfeld centre of a monoidal category is a fairly straightforward categorification of the centre of a group (or, more precisely, the centre of a monoid). For a given fusion category, I will present a construction known as the tube category which provides a graphical method of computation within the Drinfeld centre. I shall then explore certain advantages of this approach from the point of view of conformal field theory.
