Starting with an integral ane manifold with (semi-)simple singularities in codimension 2, there is a tautological symplectic manifold over its smooth part, which is the cotangent torus bundle of the base. I will explain a procedure that potentially produces a symplectic manifold which is a compactification of the tautological bration extending it to the discriminant. I will spend most of the time talking about the local model \(xy...z = 1 + w_{1} + ...+ w_{n}\).
