Résume

In the first half of the talk, we review the geometry of Hitchin fibrations for SLn and PGLn; in particular, some predictions of Frenkel and Witten relating endoscopy and mirror symmetry. In the second half, we explain how these predictions can be verified using techniques that appeared since Ngo. This is a joint work with Yongbin Ruan.
