Résume | We explain a new proof of the known fact that the Euler characteristic of Milnor fibers of smoothable curves does not depend on the smoothing component. This new proof has an algebraic ingredient coming from a recent work by A. Bengus-Lasnier, T. Gaffney and A. Rangachev: that the complete intersection discrepancy is an intrinsic invariant of a curve singularity; and a geometric ingredient: the theory of framed mapping class groups applied to icis curves. This is part of an ongoing collaboration with Antoni Rangachev. |
